Père et Fils - Syrah Grenache

Sometimes working together can be dangerous. Especially when it’s a father and son (Père et Fils). But in the case of Henri and Laurent we believe it’s led to something quite special. We’re not saying it wasn’t challenging but it certainly was worth it. They decided to harvest the grapes at night, when the temperature is cooler and the grapes are crisper. They also decided to only select blends that could carry their name, or in this case both their names.

We’re not allowed to have a favourite so we’re not saying this is our favourite. But it has got red fruits, a little spice and even a touch of chocolate. And let’s be honest we do like our chocolate. It’s still a gentle wine, not heavy, not overbearing but you won’t forget it.

 

When you’re looking for comfort. Have it with a Shepherds Pie or a nice bit of lamb. It also mixes well with Italians, lasagnes, gnocchi, even that big twirly pasta we never remember the name of.
