Lieu-Dit - La Vérité
The Lieu-Dit range is Laurent’s dogged perfectionism in a bottle. Every detail is explored and no short cuts are taken. It is after all supposed to be ‘The truth’. And the truth is that it’s made from the finest Viognier grapes from the best plots on the estate. Then it is harvested only at dawn, when the grapes are cooler and crisper. Fermentation starts in stainless steel vats before the wine is moved for the final 12 months to new French wood. This is the optimal amount of time for the wood to influence but not overpower. Balanced from start to finish.
This one is pure. Simple, elegant and true. You’ll notice the fruit, pears and peaches and a toasted finish. At least that’s what you can tell your friends, they’ll be very impressed.
An elegant wine loves an elegant companion. Expressive, mature cheeses. Fish that might have king in its name. Essentially food that can do it justice.
