The warm summer weather is around the corner and it’s a great time to think about the perfect white wines to accompany your evening aperitifs or midsummer dinners.

1. A Crisp Mineral White for seafood & entrées: Albarino

A crisp white wine is an ideal companion for all sorts of dishes. The Albarino is a perfect match for your seafood dishes with a poignant minerality brought on by the limestone soils on which it grows. This is the perfect wine for those spring summer meals by the sea with a plate of oysters. The fruitiness of this dry white wine is also ideal to start off with as flavours of white peach and lime envelope your palate in harmony with the zesty floral aromas.

2. Tasty Dishes love the Fragrance of Viognier

Viognier, the Nord Sud in particular is a wine that matches with tasty summery dishes, full of Mediterranean goodness.

In this French cuisine we know so well, dishes are filled with fresh tomatoes, fragrant herbs and cheeses which is why we’ve created a wine that blends harmoniously with these flavours.

Planted in a north south orientation our vines make the most of the warm sun rays in the morning and evening while being sheltered from the harsh midday heat.

This wine is a pure reflection of the Viognier varietal, allowing the aromas of white flowers and pêche de vigne (Vineyard Peach) to overwhelm the senses. On the palate an elegance shows through with delicate notes of apricot and orange blossom as well as a delightful citrus character.

This vintage pairs perfectly with a green pea and prawn risotto for a delightful Mediterranean spring dinner.

3. The white for gastronomy: Vérité Viognier

For a bit more substance there is our Vérité Viognier. Aged 70% in french oak barrels, this wine has a unique toasted feel and adds structure to the natural viognier character. The Verité’s personality really shows through especially in gastronomic dishes. You will find this wine on offer in many reputable restaurants around the world.

The aromas of white peaches, apricots and honeysuckle blend perfectly to bring about a unique balance with a hint of nuttiness on the finish. A perfect white wine alternative to a classic red when accompanying a cheese platter.
