Situated high in the Languedoc hills Cazal Viel is specialised in producing exceptional wines from the Syrah and Viognier grape varieties. This cuvée is produced principally from the Syrah grape variety and is handcrafted with skill to ensure that none of the unique flavours of the Saint Chinian terroir are lost during the winemaking process. Low yields of intensely flavoured grapes ensure maximum character. No oak aging.

Tasting notes:

An attractive purple robe. Red fruit (blackcurrant, raspberry) and spices (black pepper, clove) on the nose. Round, supple tannins on the palate that are nicely balanced with the fruit. Persistent and generous finish.
